The Memorandum of Understanding is a guiding document that establishes a united front between governments in support of the best interests of children and families, from policies and procedures implemented on the ground to First Nations leadership. It also includes holistic, trauma-informed approaches to cultural safety.

In the future, the governments of both countries will continue to collaborate closely to enhance support and guarantee that the requirements of families and children are met. The Tr’ondk Hwch’in Government hopes that this memorandum will continue to encourage collaboration with the Department of Health and Social Services and Family and Children’s Services.
