Sometimes I thought I would return,
Just as the moonlight returns after every new moon,
Just as the flowers of spring bloom after the end of winter.
Truly, I thought I would return like that—
Leaving behind all the tales of resentment,
Forgetting the stories of the past.
I really thought so…
But as I kept thinking this way,
I suddenly realized—
Time had moved on, years had passed,
A new era had begun after the last one ended.
Standing before the mirror, I saw
How much everything had changed—
Time, the people around me,
And the reflection standing in front of me.
I felt that memories return with ease,
But in reality, one can never truly go back.
Relationships get tangled,
An invisible wall appears in between,
And even when one wishes to return, they cannot.
Over time, all the unspoken words and silent resentments
Find their place in the pages of a diary,
Touched only by the hands that turn them.
I truly thought I would return, but now…
