The immense popularity and promising success of the book ‘Diverse Canada: From Prehistoric Times to the Present’.
Niagara Falls hosted the annual international reunion of the BUET 1987-88 batch in August. Nearly 100 engineers from various countries joined and enriched the event. Given the location of the event in Niagara Falls, the organizers, after reading ‘Diverse Canada’, decided that it would be a suitable souvenir gift to introduce engineers from different countries to Canada and Niagara. They placed a large order for the book but with a condition: a new page had to be added. This new page would include a message from the organizers and mention the book as a souvenir.
Overjoyed, I immediately contacted the publisher in Dhaka to print a new edition with 100 copies, including the additional page. Fortunately, the new books were printed and delivered to the organizers well before their deadline. I am delighted and grateful. My junior friends from the BUET 1987-88 batch are happy. Congratulations and best wishes to all the organizers and participants. I am joyful and blessed.
