Will the formation of an independent Palestinian state be possible? What does the current situation say?

The two state solution of Palestine and Israel has been discussed for a long time but no solution has been found

The two-state solution of Palestine and Israel has been discussed for a long time, but no solution has been found. However, Tel Aviv University professor Meir Litvak thinks that even if there is an opportunity, Israel has no interest in this matter. Israel actually wants a weak Palestinian Authority that will have no capacity of its own and will be dependent on Israel.

It is not possible to agree on anything unless the two sides make concessions on Jerusalem. The issues with the West Bank need to be resolved through negotiations. But if the US takes a peace step as the international community thinks, the situation can improve.

Earlier, the US played an important role in Israel’s peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan. America is no longer as active in the Middle East as it used to be. There is no difficulty in seeing hope if America takes the initiative for peace. The biggest obstacle to the formation of an independent Palestinian state is the Jewish settlements in the West Bank.

It is not possible to form an independent Palestinian state without land. Making Jerusalem the capital of Israel has also created problems in this regard. Palestine will not give up on the Jerusalem question. American researcher Shahin Berezni thinks that the creation of a Palestinian state seems to be more of a challenge at present. The number of Jewish settlements in Israel has increased so much that the possibility of a Palestinian state is becoming more and more difficult.

In addition, Hamas and Fatah in Palestine have split into two factions. Although the Oslo Accords accepted a two-state solution, no time frame was specified. Several issues needed to be resolved in the creation of a Palestinian state. First of all deciding where the border of the state will be. Determining who Jerusalem would be under. Removal of Israeli settlements. Addressing the issue of Palestinian displacement. Although these problems were supposed to be resolved through discussion, it did not happen.

Both sides are responsible for not implementing it. Because many have only asked for a state-based solution. There may be Israel or Palestine. Moreover, the Jewish conflict with Hamas prevented the deal from moving forward. There is doubt whether it is possible for them to form an independent Palestinian state.
