Today a museum is a witness of history

“In this mortal life, everything perishes and will perish—except ideas, ideals, and dreams. A person can die for an idea, but that idea can often return, incarnating itself in thousands of lives after that death. This house on Elgin Road, Kolkata, is a history-rich museum that I was fortunate to visit one afternoon. It felt like this age-old, historic house was a reflection of our history, a source of much inspiration. I felt enriched by what I saw and learned.
