Three dispensaries selling magic mushrooms were shut down last week said Hamilton police

Three dispensaries selling magic mushrooms were shut down last week, Hamilton police said. They were shut down after officers seized more than $100,000 worth of psilocybin.

Also arrested on February 15 were the operators of Shremij, Fun Guys and Shroom Godz, three dispensaries in Hamilton’s east end. The arrests were made after executing search warrants at the dispensaries, Hamilton police said in a news release.

According to the press release, the dispensary operators were arrested without any obstruction, which is an important step in stopping the illegal distribution of psilocybin products.

A 22-year-old man from Grimsby is among the three men charged. The other two are from Hamilton. Their ages are 34 and 41 years respectively. They have been accused of keeping these goods with them for the purpose of smuggling.

The press release also stated that the possession, distribution and sale of psilocybin is illegal in Canada and the matter is being addressed by the Hamilton Police Service. These recent arrests are testament to our commitment to enforcing this within the city. We urge people to be careful about such activities. Also, if you see anything suspicious, I urge the community members to report it.
