The CBSA makes fifteen ketamine seizures in one month at the Léo-Blanchette Mail Processing Centre

It is the mission of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to ensure the safety of our communities.

According to the CBSA, officers at the Léo-Blanchette Mail Processing Centre in Montreal seized 89.8 kilograms of ketamine between April 13 and May 14, 2023. Ketamine is typically sold illegally in powder form and is frequently used as a drug for date rape. The ketamine that was seized had a total value of $6,076,000.

Packages from Germany, Hungary, Spain, the Czech Republic, and France contained the drug. The packages seized by border service agents were always intended for Ontario addresses.

There are ongoing investigations.
