This award recognizes Yukoners, non-governmental organizations or Yukon First Nations governments that demonstrate outstanding achievement, innovative practice and excellence in mental health and substance use care.

The award is valued at $5,000 and will be given to one recipient or organization going above and beyond to promote mental wellness in the territory.

The deadline to submit nominations is May 20, 2022.

Mental health issues and addictions impact Canadians across the territory, including here in the Yukon. This award is a great opportunity to highlight the hard work and innovation of dedicated Yukoners working in mental health and substance use care in the territory.

Premier Sandy Silver

Innovation in mental wellness and substance use care is crucial to improving our services, improving the lives of Yukoners and helping stop unnecessary deaths. This award will highlight some of the important work being done in the territory to better the lives of Yukoners and I encourage Yukoners to submit nominations.

Minister of Health and Social Services Tracy-Anne McPhee
