The divide between the so-called anti-discrimination movement and the Jamaat-e-Islami jihad has become clear, especially among Bangladeshi expatriates in Toronto, Canada, and cultural workers! Many people, witnessing the chaotic incidents like threats and intimidation on social media, have called for everyone to work together, regardless of their affiliations, emphasizing mutual respect for differences of opinion and freedom of expression. Many are saying that at the end of the day, we are all Bengalis, and our brotherhood and mutual respect should remain intact!

I believe there can be no compromise or disagreement on issues like Bangladesh, Bangabandhu, the Great Liberation War, the language and culture of Bengalis, and our history and heritage! Presenting defamation of these as mere differences of opinion or freedom of expression is nothing but a clever ploy. The bloody struggle of 1971 and the subsequent victory of Bengalis settled these fundamental issues.

In the name of anti-inequality movements in Bangladesh, jihadi terrorism has been carried out against the Bengali Liberation War, Bangabandhu, and our cultural heritage, which continues to this day. They have staged a drama of ‘Red Independence’ to erase our great independence of ’71.

While there can be movements against Sheikh Hasina’s corruption or authoritarianism, it cannot be done by vandalizing the statue of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu, by killing freedom fighters, by burning billions of taka worth of national assets, or by destroying the memorials of our Liberation War. By playing with the emotions of the younger generation, the ugly face of the Jamaat, the defeated force of 1971, has become clear to everyone now.

The funny thing is that the true colors of the cultural workers in the diaspora have been exposed in this Islamic revolution! Many people’s hidden tails have been revealed without their knowledge. Many of them, despite having pictures of Rabindranath Tagore at home, are against Rabindranath. Despite having pictures of Bangabandhu at home, they are against Bangabandhu! Even after publishing books of poems about Bangabandhu, they were extremely excited to see pictures of people urinating on Bangabandhu’s statue. Their Facebook was filled with the independent red circle. Most of the left-wingers, along with Jamaat, were singing revolutionary songs loudly at the Shaheed Minar, wearing flags on their heads. There was so much hypocrisy and circus, as if a revolution had come. It’s a sight to behold. They are ecstatic on Facebook, praising the radical Islamic student mob mafia. Ah!

Now it is being said that everything has happened, now go together! why bapu I saw who you are! Everyone has become known! Many of you Ram left and mango are Saratchandra’s Srinath Bahurupi! You mock the liberation war and say that the real liberation war is August 5, 2024, the freedom fighters of 71 are real, not fake, the real freedom fighters are Genjira! Saeed Mofiz Abulra of the original Shaheed Jamaat! This jihadist dissent of yours is a blow to the existence of Bangladesh, why should it be accepted as dissent? My leader, father of the nation, Bangabandhu, my country is Bangladesh, my language is Bangla! You don’t believe any of these things, why should I go with you? where are you from You Mian Razaka, you go away and die! You seek the attention of Facebook in the name of cultural practice, where do you get the right to practice Bengali culture?
