Monthly Meeting of Greater Faridpur Association of Canada

Legal Affairs Secretary Bir Muktijoddha Professor and lawyer Chamad Hawladar discussed various problems and legal complications of new immigrants and assured their cooperation

The monthly meeting of the Greater Faridpur Association of Canada was held on Friday, January 26, 2024.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of vice-president Abdul Matin Munsi in the absence of the president of the association, Mr. Yusuf Sheikh. It should be noted that many new guests who arrived from Bangladesh recently were present in it. As a result, the meeting room was full.

General Secretary Mr. Sirajul Islam greeted everyone at the beginning of the meeting and introduced the new guests. Newcomer Amit Saha welcomed the new guests in his introduction and wished them well. The guests were served delicious snacks including samosas, cutlets and coffee courtesy of Mr. Aminul Islam.

Assistant Secretary of the organization Mr. Mashaur Rahman contacted the newcomers and invited them to the meeting. Organizing Secretary Mr. Reza Sattar discussed the various problems of the newcomers and gave them valuable advice and assured full cooperation from his side and gifted a computer.

The meeting discussed the upcoming International Mother Language Day i.e. February 21st and requested everyone to attend at Shaheed Minar on February 20th at 11:45 PM. Since Independence Day this year is a month of fasting, it was decided to celebrate Iftar and Independence Day together on March 29. Apart from this, decisions were taken on other matters including the picnic this year.

The meeting was conducted by Mr. Sirajul Islam. President of the meeting Mr. Abdul Matin Munshi thanked everyone and announced the end. Treasurer Vipul Dev Nath and Moshiur Rahman and Matin Munshi served dinner to the guests present.
