Khushi’s parents had named her Khushi Islam very affectionately. She is the only child of her parents. She is eight years old. Khushi’s life was full of joy with her parents. Khushi was the apple of her father’s eye and her little life was tied to her mother’s lap. Suddenly, for some unknown reason, Khushi’s parents were fighting. They quarreled all day. Khushi was crying in fear.

For the past six months, Khushi has been living with her mother at her grandmother’s house. After coming to this house, her father did not take any news of Khushi, and her mother did not love her as before.

Khushi’s uncle loves Khushi very much. He tries to keep her small demands. This is how time was spent. Today, Khushi was suddenly brought to this unfamiliar place. Khushi’s uncle said that this was the court.

Khushi is seeing her father after six months after coming here. Seeing her father, she ran and hugged her father and called him father. Rashed did not pick Khushi up today. Sensing her father’s neglect, Khushi moved away. She went to her mother. Khushbu let go of her daughter’s hand and scolded Khushi, “Go away from here, go to your father, what is this?”

Khushi’s childless uncle picked Khushi up in his arms. Tears kept flowing from Khushi’s eyes. Khushi did not know Khushi’s crime. Why did her parents not love her? Khushi did not get any affection from anyone except her uncle at her grandmother’s house.

After a long time, Khushi was taken to a room. Khushi felt afraid of many strangers. She hugged her uncle even harder.

The two were talking a lot. Her parents were arguing. An elderly woman sitting in front called her. She wanted to know who Khushi wanted to stay with. Khushi said, “Auntie, I want to stay with my parents like when I was a child.”

She said, “My father and mother are living separately now, it is not possible to be together. Will you stay with your mother or your father?”

Khushi’s father shouted, “I can’t keep her. I don’t have time to raise her.”

Khushi immediately said angrily, “No, Honorable Court, I will go abroad for studies. I cannot fulfill the sin he has given me.” I don’t want this girl.

Khushi went on vacation and went to her mother once and then to her father. She kept crying and saying, “Father, mother, don’t leave me alone. Whom shall I call mother and who shall I call father?”

Khushi’s younger sister took Khushi in her arms and requested her to let her say something.

When Khushi’s younger uncle was allowed to go, Khushi’s uncle said, “Madam, my wife and I are a childless couple. Despite trying for the last 12 years, we have not seen the face of a child. Khushi is my sister’s child. Although they are both responsible for their separation, Khushi has no fault. The one who has come to this court today will have to speak for the blood relationship and the claim of a child born out of wedlock. I feel ashamed of the work of my sister and her ex-husband. I do not know if there is such a case in this court or any other court where a case has been filed in the court for not taking responsibility for a child. I am willing to take all the responsibility of Khushi in consultation with my wife and evidence. I also request that they do not bring any rights in the future. Khushi should grow up in my identity if the court wants.”

After hearing everything, the magistrate pronounced the verdict and said, “In my years of work, I have seen many cases where the parents of the child are desperate to take responsibility for the child. Such an incident today really moved me. Khushi Islam will now be under the care of Tanvir Rahman. He will grow up in his identity. Tanvir Isha couple will fulfill all his responsibilities. However, if the court feels that Khushi Islam’s education, health and other matters are being neglected in any way, then the court will take legal action.”

He repeated, “Since Khushi Islam is the biological child of Khushbu Rahman and Asad Islam. Therefore, they will deposit 55 lakh taka for Khushi. Which will be deposited in the name of Khushi.

Khushbu Rahman and Asad Islam, if you are inclined to separate, you should have thought about it before giving birth.”

“Khushi Islam, from now on, you will grow up as the child of Tanvir Rahman, Isha Bella and respect them as parents. You will grow up as a good person. The court will be with you for your proper growth. “After the magistrate left, Khushi’s maternal uncle took Khushi in his arms and started walking. Khushi and Asad were busy negotiating for money.

From today, Khushi is no longer Khushi’s child. When he came to the street to call for CNG, Tanvir saw Isa coming.

Isa picked Khushi up in his arms and told Tanvir, “I want to take Khushi to another city. I want to take her away to save Khushi from this bitter experience in this city.” Tanvir agreed to him.

Tanvir said that he would apply for a posting in the Sylhet branch. Khushi should not grow up in this city with the illusion of identity.
