Human chain and protest rally started with one minute silence at 7 pm. Speakers at the rally demanded strict and exemplary punishment for the miscreants to be brought under the law quickly. In Canada, a liberal country with a multi-dimensional culture, every immigrant should get overall security and no precious life like Sharif, who came in the hope of a better life, should not die prematurely as a result of any cruelty. Sharif Rahman left behind a wife and a small daughter at the time of death.

The almighty will give this bereaved family the strength to bear this difficult irreparable emptiness and grief, that was the expectation of all those who came to the human chain and protest event organized for the memory of Sharif Rahman.
