Both of us were sincere about the relationship.

We were so sincere that we had already begun planning for a celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary.

At that time, our relationship still had some momentum.

But over time, false accusations and resentment began to tarnish the fabric of our bond.

Just like how rust forms on iron due to the reaction between oxygen and water.

We had walked a long way together, with the intention of walking much further.

But we realized that the momentum of the relationship was just making the path dry and parched with the excuse of standing still.

In a relationship, respect was more important than love!

That’s how, walking together on the same path, we unknowingly took different turns…

Perhaps at that time, our relationship still had some momentum.

Today, it’s not the relationship, but the momentum of memories with time that keeps growing, moving forward in the hours of emptiness.
