The Canadian dollar is in a crisis

The Canadian dollar is in a crisis

Seeing the rapid decline of the Canadian dollar against the US dollar, it seems like people will start fleeing Canada under Trudeau’s mad rule! Today, I went to the bank to buy US dollars and found that I had to pay 1.44 Canadian dollars for just one US dollar! In the past 23 years, I’ve never seen the Canadian dollar in such a dire state or the Canadian economy in such disarray!

You can easily gauge a country’s economic condition by simply looking at the exchange rate of the US dollar there (with a few exceptions). In Pakistan, people buy one US dollar for 275 rupees, while in India, they buy it for 85 rupees. Bangladesh, which bought it for 105-110 taka three months ago, is now buying it for 125 taka! Suppose a 40 kg bag of flour costs 40 US dollars in the international market. India will buy that flour for 3400 rupees, Bangladesh for 5000 taka, and poor Pakistan for 11000 taka!”

And that’s why people in Pakistan are buying a kilogram of flour for 275 rupees! You can understand the economic state of the three countries in the subcontinent just by looking at the price of flour and the value of the dollar. Although Bangladesh’s economic situation is not as bad as Pakistan’s yet, it’s safe to say that Bangladesh is heading towards a similar economic fate as Pakistan. I’ll write about how this government has ruined the garment industry another day, but for the reader’s information, we used to earn 30 billion US dollars annually from the garment sector alone!

I was talking about Canada’s foolish king, Justin Trudeau. Under his rule in the last eight years, Canada’s economy has been declining steadily. He may not understand numbers, but he has a big heart. But because of his big heart, we have fallen into a huge crisis!

Life is so miserable! I’m struggling to pay the mortgage. Leaders in Trudeau’s party have realized that Trudeau’s popularity is at rock bottom, so they’ve asked him to step down as Prime Minister while he still can. But Trudeau refuses. He claims he’s still popular and won’t give up power. Trudeau does politics in the Bangladeshi style, he’s not like Rishi Sunak of Britain who would resign for incompetence. He has no shame.

From 2001 to 2015, the Canadian dollar was almost equal to the US dollar. There was a time when the Canadian dollar was even stronger than the US dollar. It’s sad that under Trudeau’s rule, these seem like distant dreams.
