Asad Chowdhury, a famous poet of Bengali literature, has again been admitted to the emergency room of a hospital in Canada. The poet, suffering from blood cancer, was taken to the local Aswa hospital on September 14 when his physical condition deteriorated. Poet Asad Chowdhury, suffering from various complex diseases, was admitted to the hospital three times.
Earlier, his elder son Asif Chowdhury was taken to his home from Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto. He is living there with his family.
Poet’s son-in-law Nadeem Iqbal said in a Facebook status today, potassium levels are critical, kidney condition is also deplorable, nose and mouth are bleeding, shortness of breath is severe, diapers have to be worn. At the same time, he is breaking down mentally. Mood is very erratic, becomes angry in very uncomfortable condition. That’s why the nurse strapped to the hospital bed. He became more angry.
