Why is there a cold alert in Toronto

A severe cold alert has been issued in Toronto for three days from Monday to Tuesday and Wednesday. It will be very cold for these three days. This has been in the news for the past two days. The intensity of the cold will go up and down. The maximum temperature of the cold for these three days will reach from -21 to -29.

Children have been advised to wear extra layers of warm clothing when going to school.

Do you think it is so cold that everyone will be sitting with their arms and legs folded? No. That never happens in Canada. No matter what the weather is, you have to go to work.

Let’s talk about us. For example, my work starts at 7:30 in the morning. I wake up at 5:45. Then I pray and get ready. It is still pitch black outside. My daughter is nine years old. She sets an alarm on her watch every day to pray Fajr. Zuhr prayers come from the school prayer room. Alhamdulillah. She does these things herself regularly.

Anyway, they walk to and from school even in this cold.

While I was getting ready in the morning, my husband went outside to start the car for me. Because in winter, the car is frozen outside. Before driving it, you have to start it for at least fifteen minutes and warm it up. Otherwise, if you start a frozen car, the car often gets damaged.

This morning, he started my car. Then he put on thicker clothes. He is going out again to clear the snow. Because it snowed all night and it is spread like a white sheet on the driveway. If you don’t clear it, it will turn into ice in the extra cold. You will have to fall when you walk. So, whenever my husband has time, he will clear the snow. There is no laziness in his responsibilities. Don’t you sometimes feel like doing it now and doing it later, we think? But this doesn’t work with him. When it needs to be done, he will come and sit down.

When he was going outside to clear the snow in the morning, I said that nature is still covered in darkness so early in the morning. And you are going to clear the snow? The sound of the snow will wake up the neighbors. Then he said, “The neighbors got up and cleared the snow before you. Some are sitting in their cars with the starters on and will rush to work right now.”

I said to myself, “That’s right. I had forgotten that I live in Canada. I thought everyone was asleep.

However, my husband and I have been working full-time in Canada for eighteen years. This eighteen-year journey is not small. We have had to run and are running every day. In any weather and situation. We have not stopped. There is also work in the family. Raising children in Canada without a helping hand is no less than a roller coaster journey.
