Will Chrystia Freeland win

Chrystia Freeland has announced her participation in the Liberal Party leadership race.

As far as it is understood, the main competition in the Liberal Party leadership race will be between former Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland and former Bank of Canada/England Governor Mark Carney.

If the question of choosing between these two comes up, I will stand in favor of Mark Carney.

Looking at Mark Carney’s profile, it seems that he is quite experienced and skilled. His experience is quite long and colorful.

An experienced leader in economics like Mark Carney will be able to give the right direction to strengthen Canada’s fragile and weak economy. On the other hand, in response to Donald Trump’s announcement of imposing a 25% tariff on goods exported from Canada to the United States, I think that Mark Carney will take all the plans he will take in the light of sufficient skill and experience. As a result, Mark Carney is far more qualified than Chrystia Freeland for the leadership of the Liberal Party. I believe that Mark Carney is capable of making a clear difference from the Trudeau government.

On the other hand, Chrystia Freeland is Trudeau’s replica, Trudeau’s carbon copy. She was the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of the Trudeau government for several days. During this time, she was not able to bring Canada’s economy to a good state, but added a huge budget deficit to the economy. She is now saying that she will actually repeal the carbon tax as the leader of the Liberal Party. The point is, she has been in charge for so long, so why hasn’t she repealed the carbon tax? Chrystia Freeland will have to take responsibility for Trudeau’s failures. When Trudeau offered her to step down as Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, she resigned from the cabinet. Resigning does not mean that she is free from responsibility for the failures of the Trudeau government.

Another thing is that Chrystia Freeland will increase her hostility with Trump as the leader of the Liberal Party. She will not be able to handle the situation. He will complicate the situation instead of resolving it, which will not be good for Canada. What is needed here is skilled, experienced and prudent leadership.

I think Mark Carney has that.
